Every Spring, the state of California measures student growth and progress through standardized assessments. All students in grades 3-8 are administered the California Assessment of Performance and Progress commonly known as the SBAC. Students in 3rd-8th grade are given assessments in the areas of English Language Arts/Literacy and Mathematics.
Students in grades TK-8, who are classified as English Learners are monitored using the English Language Proficiency Assessment for California (ELPAC). Students are tested on their skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Annually, the testing window starts February 1st through May 31st.
